O BET (Black Entertainment Tevelevison) anunciou os indicados para se prêmio. A premiação acontece em 26 de junho às 21 horas na MTV. O destaque vai para Doja Cat que carrega 6 indicações, ente elas Álbum do Ano.

Fãs e profissionais do entretenimento fazem parte do BET’s Voting Academy, conselho que escolhe os indicados. É o 22º ano do prêmio que contará com a apresentação de Taraji P. Henson, indicada ao Oscar e vencedora do Globo de Ouro.

Silk Sonic, H.E.R e the Weeknd são alguns dos principais cantores a serem indicados. No cinema “Summer of Soul” representa a música. Já para os brasileiros a principal atração é a indicação da cantora Ludmilla que concorre como atração internacional
